Wink opinions on heat wrap

Just been looking at in on ebay and was wondering what you all thought of it,

Do you wrap you turbo ? manifold ? and downpipes etc.....

On previous cars i have wrapped the manifold and downpipes and never had any problems

heat wraps are great..But,make sure you dont have any oil leaks,my m8 did and when stuck in a traffic jam,it burst into flames !!! Over time the oil had soaked into the wrap.....

Harvey Smith told me that DEI is the best you can put on and its not worth putting a cheaper product on cos it won't last!

Yeah, agree with the above. Harvey has tried a lot and said the one to use is the DEI stuff.

Agreed, plus there are a few threads on here containing brief "How to's" by Harvey, worth a look.

Harvey can supply you with everything you need, at very good prices. He does a DEI kit for your turbo also. Before getting anything from eBay I would give him a call.

I must agree with the above comments Harvey is the man for all your heat wrap questions I used the DEI on my down pipe and centre section and after 16 months its still in perfect condition, you can actually hold your hand on the down pipe when the car is running and its still cool, very impressive
