Question Radiator Question ...

My Radiator has a pipe running along the top of it - it is actually fixed to the radiator.

Would a patent Radiator come with this in place, anyone know? Classic MY00 ... UK.

Bolts in place, you daft git.

My replacement rad was from ebay, why not buy from a local to home supplier?

AS Performance do mail order, lots of smoogies use them.

You mis-understand ..... I can take the Radiator off .....

My question is about the metal, black painted, pipe which looks welded to the top of the Radiator ... does the aftermarket versions have this? Unless you are saying this pipe is bolted in place? But I can't see where or how?

Sounds like Micky understood perfectly. As he says, pipe is bolted in place, by the bolts that retain the fan bracket(s) plus one, if you have a single fan. Buy some new glasses.

OK, I'll take another look ..... the brackets holding this pipe look welded to the top - I'll take my specs off - I see better without them when up close!

I can see the PAS Pipe bolted to the top but not this other pipe?

yup the pipe is welded to a plate which is then bolted to the rad.
you need to strip your rad down and add the bits to the new one so to speak.
