Guys

Just looking for some help.

My '94 wagon has it's original Nardi wheel and i need to remove it. |Does anyone know how to get access to the nut behind the horn plate?

The horn button itself is surrounded by a circular boss with what looks like fake allen key bolts.

As the wheel is in good condition so I dont just want to hack in there and mark it so any help would be really appreciated

The wheel is attached to the boss by 6x cap headed bolts: are you certain that theyre 'fake'? Removing the wheel from the boss will probably be the easiest option for you, because the horn push is usually held in place by the wheel mounting bolts.

That Nardi is different to mine (although its been in my garage un-looked at for so long Im not certain), but the principle is the same with all boss mounted wheels.

No, not sure they are fake, just look a bit plasticky and assumed they were.

Just out of interest, I've heard about this mint Impreza you have tucked away! I would love to have something like that. I am even considering looking at my own personal import for the holy grail.

you just pull that surround off its only a cover the nut is underneath the horn

As above, its a rubber cover over the main nut - if you are looking at fitting another steering wheel though the Nardi wheel is held to the Subaru boss by six allen headed screws and virtually all steering wheels with the six holes will fit straight on, no need to buy a boss kit .

did you end up getting your steering wheel off? mines exactly the same but i cant seem to undo the plastic allen bolts?? cheers
