how do i remove paint from tarmac???

Default how do i remove paint from tarmac???

as above last year i spary painted my drive with no parking across it as people was parking in my spaces (twaaaaats) any way i want to remove this any idea the cheapest way of doing so? the paint is yellow line larking paint from screwfix wasnt very expensive would white spirit do thye job? any advice greatful

would whit spirit no touch it? dont have blow tourch bolux

you could try white spirit, and even if it did strip it, you'd prob have even more mess, same with paint stripper, although you could try on a small section and make sure it doesn't run.......the only proper way is a blow torch to burn the paint, you'll still see it, but it will be black.

if its just marking paint out of a can then a good jet washer will get it off. When i turned fine up to full, it blew the actual tarmac up.

white spirit won't work the line paint will be spirit based not oil based you may be able to remove it with a mechanical wire brush

If you can't get the paint off, maybe you could cover it up with some brush-on bitumen-based product, like underbody protector.

A pressure washer would take ages, Either paint stripper, or thinners, and then power wash.

next time you see the council/ private company doing the white lines on the road offer them 30-50 quid (depending how flush you feel) to do it. it will take them no longer than 20 mins i reckon. thats what i would do.
