Question Urgent advice needed on 08sti

Looking at a 08sti at the weekend car sounds great however it is a euro import. Trying to find out if the car has the ECU flash to prevent ringland failure.

The owner is not aware of it being done, spoke to the dealer who done the 10K service and said there was no warrenty or recall work outstading for the car on the Subaru UK system. however was not sure if it would show as was not a UK car.

I know the car was first reg in 09/08, but arrived in cyprus 05/08 would this have the reflash done from the factory?

Can anyone help???

The reflash came out about Aug 08 in the US, Sept / Oct 08 in the UK but my dealer didn't know about it until I questioned them in Oct 08. I know that it can be checked via a dealer if it has been reflashed but thats for UK cars but not sure about imports. The dealer (assuming Subaru) should just be able to reflash it without problem, only 30 mins max.

Mine failed a 3K. If you get it from a Subaru dealer it should have be covered if it does go pop or if it isn't a dealer then check the paperwork has been sorted and Subaru UK will cover the warranty.
