i remember back now 3 or 4 years ago,i used to know someone that worked at autocraft sve,he owned a scooby, loved it,i was the first subaru i ever went in running about 320bhp,it had one of these put in,i think it was put in the centre pipe,he rated it,the car sounded awesome, but when i spoke about it to a custom exhaust maker in salisbury he reckons they are a waste of money and slow the gasses down if anything,he also said u are much better off having a straight through pipe,my mate had one put on his astra gte 8v on twin 45s with kams etc running 187bhp/180lbft but wether the vortex made any difference i dont know.probably not!

Isn't it more like a venturi in there to accellerate the gasses. Kind of what you used to have in a carburretor?
