Hi All, Can someone please enlighten me as too the config. of a type R's diff's. I know about the adjustble centre diff, but do they have LSD's?? Any info. or opinion is warmly appreciated....

The rear diff is a heavy duty mechanical lsd,it will lock the rear
wheels together depending on how much torque you put through it.

The Type R rear diff is a 1983 Nissan R180 model, running 4.444 ratio with mechanical LSD. The standard WRX's use Nissans' smaller R160 diff avail in 3.900,4.11 and 4.444 ratios mostly with a simple viscous centre, but some of the STi's used it with a mechanical LSD. The type R also has unique rear drive shafts and upsized rear discs/hubs with Nissan 300ZX,R32 GTR.. etc two pot calipers.
