Lateral Performance Ltd| Home | Fuel System Subaru Impreza | Injectors | '01 > New Age Top Feed Injectors

Top feed for newages

IIRC you will have 440's if newage WRX, but I think you will have replacements given the spec I think you have...........possible 500 STi pinks

No Problem

I generally only post on MY01 / 02 bugeye things as I have one myself LOL........I have messed around with it for quite a number of years but the TGV's are a bit of a nightmare..

They are there for idle emissions only and for the moment I'd leave it as it is (stuck open) and sort the other problems first

Then think about finding an STi manifold and mapping them out

And Shaun strikes again. Is there no end to your knowledge. I am going to contact Andy Forrest and get it booked in for a remap.

They are 420cc in bug wrx. Get hold of some sti pink injectors and ditch the tgv set up by getting sti stacks or sti manifold (01-05) and stacks complete.

Will throw out about 12 cel codes for removing the tgv's but these are easy to switch off in a remap.

Dynamix......just a quick question, can EcuTek now switch the TGV delete codes off or is an "open source" only option.

Just curious

Shaun

PS sorry.....20cc off in my guess at Bugeye WRX injectors

I didn't realise ecutek couldn't switch them off. I have always been able to switch them off (or any other CEL) with OS - had assumed that Ecutek would have the same facility

Dynamix

The last time I thought about TGV deletes (with an APS kit) was probably about 5-6 years ago and at that time EcuTec couldn't map out TGV missing codes, similarly EcuTek couldn't map out my missing EGT sensor...so I have a small resistor fix.

Maybe EcuTeK has played catch up since then

I am getting the TGV butterfly removed by Greer Motorsport, I believe they done my 2.5 conversion and my Sti Head, pink injectors etc, so they know me engine setup inside and out. Oh once my TGV are removed can my Ecutek remove the cels. Thx Guys

Grinding out the TGV's is a real pain.......and labour / time costs money. Wouldn't it be easier to swap for an STi bug / blob manifold. It will also be a much prettier colour

I think Greer have a spare set of ported TGV's, so its a straight change over. But nothing is straight forward with this car.
