Scooby tuners in Hampshire/Dorset???
Hi guys, anyone advise on a proper garage in south Dorset/Hampshire. I hear Triton Motorsport are at Bournemouth Airport and offer a very good service. Can anyone confirm having been there themselves?? New to area so any advice will help!

My Type R was mapped by them using a Simtek ecu (nothing wild) and i've been going there for 7 years for getting my imprezas serviced and fixed.

I used Triton for a few years (when I ran a Scoob), no issues at all and always very good service.

I have used triton a few times now, they have fitted a forged engine and apexi ecu and mapped it for me in november 09. I supplied the engine and bits but they fitted and mapped it in a day and a half and they bunged in some injectors and the result was awesome, 340bhp/320lb. The guys are real helpful and I'd recommend them, in fact they're fitting a gearbox for me in a couple of days.

Cheers for the feedback everyone, Scooby do it's nice to see people who will throw in some bits to make it right....for the love of it, not for the profit. I have seen good nissan tuners go to the wall over lack of intrest!!!!!

Well Triton must have improved since i lived in Bournemouth.
I took my car there for a misfire, total bill of £300, this was for a full set of coil packs. I asked to see the old ones 'binned them, sorry'
I drove away, no difference, still really bad. Got home, had a better look at things, and found a bolt missing on the tmic pipe, replaced it, and the car was perfect. How they couldn't find this i don't know, and to charge me £300 was disgraceful.
Problem 2: I bought a clutch from them, which gave up on the running in period(300miles). I removed it, and asked them for a replacement. They said they needed to send it back to exedy, for inspection. It sat in Tritons workshop for 5 months, then when they did send it, Exedy replaced it after many months of faffing about. In the end i got a replacement a year later (didn't even have the car anymore), but it was a rubbish standard one, not the pink boxed one i spent £300 on. When i said about this, i was told 'don't push your luck' wtf!!!!
Problem 3: I had them fit a set of stainless headers, total labour cost of £336!!!! I asked for the old ones, ' in the bin mate' they had angle grinded the bolts off, destroying the heat shields ,which was totally unnecessary.
I'd go to Engine tuner too.
This is just my opinion mind.....

Most / many members of Hampshiresubaru 'club' go to Subaru 4 You in Newbury ..
Quite a few also use Cadnam Garage .. err .. in Cadnam
We also have a new member who has a couple of scoobies that has a garage close to Rownhams .. but 'history' is unknown.
Hope that helps
oh .. and get yourself on Hampshire Subaru for local advice and generally a good bunch of people ...

I should also point out that if you are after a tuner / mapper .. then again, most members use Simon of JollyGreenMonster fame as he often books days at Surrey Rolling Road (Sunningdale) and Subaru 4 You (both have rollers) to undertaking roller and road mapping.
There may well be others, but the other well known mapper in the area is Bob Rawle in Swindon
Again, hope that helps.
