Default 2 x Rb320s in AMC chelmsford

been circling AMC for a week or so as i saw a rb 320 for sale in there for 22950, bit out of my price range and today i noticed it had a sold sign on it.....any one from here?
does anyone know any history of the other one in there for 21995? has a few scuffs on it so i assume the mileage is high and the front lip is buggered but i imagine it would clean up ok.
very tempted.....mmmmmmm

I have had a look at those too and the RB320 was sold yesterday morning, what a stunning car that is, if i only i had a little more cash i would have had it. The other RB320 still has a bit of work to be done to it by the workshop and i was told that its not quite as nice as the one they have just sold.

looked ok the newer one certainly not a wreck, but it is the mileage that concerns me and sales reps only tell you what they want you to here. Think the missus would throw a fit if i bought another one home, but i am tempted as it has the leather seats which are so much better than the alcantara ones for wear

Tell you what i have an 06 obsidian black STI with al the prodrive options on it, suspension, better brakes, prodrive mudflaps, prodrive stainless front grill set, adjustable RARB and apart from the little orange badges it looks identical and with the re-map its now got 340 bhp and she is in mint condition, for the right price which would be no where near an RB320 price i may be tempted to let her go, its not for sale as its just my week end toy but as they say everything has a price, cheers steve.

That is one of the things i cannot undertsand with the rb , it has held its value pretty well considering it is an sti with seat covers and a couple of trick bits , similar to the gb270 in a lot of ways and to look inside it is exactly the same bar the embroidery, yet a gb270 can be bought for 10 k less. i know it has its sentimental value, but they seem to be depreciating now and there are also quite a few for sale of late so the novelty is wearing off. I am a man of impulse and if i went in and got a good exchange on mine and a better % on the finance i would probably have it. I have also seen a fq340 i like too so i am going to hold fire for the time being

a16Pse - But its not a RB320!

gtisid - The GB270 is a WRX, not in the same league as the RB!

StrikE - You can but hope!

I'm going to 'big up' the RB320, as i've owned one from new.
But have to say it absolutely knocks the socks off my previous MY05 STi Type UK.

That was a small hook I took a big bite of there!!!!

i am aware of the differences between a wrx and a sti, and it dont warrant 10 k difference in price, i am also aware my gb270 is a souped up wrx, and again the rb does not warrant a 10 k hike in price IMO of course it is after all a tarted up sti like mine is a tarted up wrx. But the Rb does seem to hold its value better.

you sound like you have been brain washed and you are RB crazy , which is fair enough but it is just a car with 4 wheels

RB320's are nice cars, owning one was a pleasure.
If i had bought the car from new i would have never traded it or sold it on, unfortunately the RB i bought wasn't new and had a few issues & that's why i went for the Hatch.
Plus with the RB's, GB270, Catalunya's & McRae series cars modifying them physically is a crime punishable by chopping the hands off

RB's are still holding on in there & good on them as a mint RB IS worth every penny.

Your right IGGY its not an RB but with a little orange sticker on you would not tell the difference, the gentleman i bought the car off actually paid £32,300 as he ticked every option that was available, mine is an 06 and i paid £15,250 for it 2 years ago so i got a good deal as he was desperate for the cash and if you were to put the 2 side by side i would still of bought mine and kept the difference in the bank, i nearlly bought an RB 320 for £25,000 but i could not justify the difference of nearly 10k, not for half leather and some orange badges, but never the less you do own a lovely car by owning an RB mate.

Don't forget that the rb 320 has by far the better suspension and set up!

Well done that man as said better suspension ,tyres & im sure there are a few other things too, that said i personally think the RB320 IS the best looking hawk & dont forget it was made in honour of the GREAT RICHARD BURNS.They are also the last of the old shape to be made which in itself also makes them special, these are some of the reasons why i paid 25k for mine.
