Exclamation V power?

Went to fill up and no V power, tried 2 more shell stations and still none! what's going on with shell?
I've put Tesco 99ron in with a splash of NF. My car is mapped to Shell V power, will tesco 99 do for now or should i still put a splash of NF in with it. I was told it's not as good and could allow some det, that's why i put some NF in.

WTF's going on?

I know it's ok to run a car mapped on tesco99 on V power but i'm not sure about the other way around as IIRC tesco's is a 97ron with additives to make it 99, but shell v power is a genuine 99ron AFAIK but i could be wrong.

Both. Shell and Tescos are 99 ron. So should be OK. there.

Tesco is also 2p cheaper per litre.(Probably more with clubpoints).

BP Ultimate is 97 ron. So Drve cool and fill up with "99" soon after.

As said above should be no problem at all,i have used tesco 99 from when it first came out and had no problems ,i know people say shell is a genuine 99 but who cares ,as long as it does not damage your engine(i have heard bp ultimate -not good for the impreza engine)and your car runs ok ,found this for some interesting reading.

They tested shell optimax not V power, optimax was never a 99 ron fuel, but a good test nonetheless.

I was thinking the same as you, 99ron is still 99ron regardless of additives. I think i'll just stick the tesco's in without the NF if i can't get any V power next fillup.

No problem getting V power tonight in Huntingdon, however it was £1.25 a litre. Going to have to check my receipts but I'm sure it was only £1.18 the start of last week.

I think it went up over night again and again. I don't think it will ever stop going up, this government are taken us for a ride. The price of oil is going down, and the price of petrol is going up daily.

None in Northallerton. So I put 20 litres of 95 in and a bottle of millers octane booster, which was almost a tenner.
Last week v-power was £1.18.9 and this week 95 is the same price. What's going on with these fuel prices?
