Default **** !! Long shot Expansion bottle woes

Just did an oil change, which went well,,anyhoo,i just moved the top hose thats connected to the expansion tank (1995) and wop,off it comes, the plastic part that sticks out of the header tank cleanly snapped off and stayed isnide the pipe,so nothing for the pipe to connect to

it goes to the turbo so guess a turbo coolant pipe and quite important

so,anyone have one from a 95 turbo around gloucestershire ?????

i have seen a new one on the bay for £100 and 2nd hand about £30,dont know which is better,i suppose better to spend the extra on a new one

**** **** **** car aint going anywhere now

You mean the header tank, not the expansion tank.

Buy a new one, in plastic. SHould last for another 10-15 years and costs around £100 (so ebay price is fine).

yeah,soz,header tank LOL

well,to get me about until i buy another one, i used some 14mm copper pipe, drilled the hole bigger in the header tank, slopped some chemical metal around it to seal it,didnt want to but as i say,its gonna be about a week before i receive the new item !

lets hope it holds
