DO NOT USE www.reconditioned-engines.co.uk
To answer the original question - I realise it's some time ago, but to help anyone else.
DO NOT USE reconditioned engines. The underlying company gets folded and replaced with a new one every few years - their latest, Bray Engineering LTD was only incorporated in July this year (2011)
They currently have my 52 reg WRX, and nearly £3k of my money and have done so for over a month. This is despite their initial 7-10 completion time.
When I ring, they usually "transfer" me and let the phone ring out or tell me the relevant person is not available and to call back. They are still claiming to have difficulties getting parts, despite the first Subaru dealer my Dad tried having 3 in stock which would be delivered the next day.
The police are treating it as a civil case, not a theft which is making it difficult to get a crime number and claim it on insurance.
If anyone with previous experience of the company or relevant knowledge can offer any help, I would be extremely grateful.

Yes, seen all of those links ... several weeks after paying them and wondering what on earth was going on.
This is the first place I've posted this. I did it because the first message (albeit a long time ago) was asking whether it was a good company to use - and although there was a pretty universal "no", no-one had any experience (fortunately for them).
And seriously, any ideas what to do? Judge me all you like, they seemed plausible at the time and I was in a hurry to get it mended.
