Default which is better, RA-R or S204?

Hello

As above.

Thanks

RA-R is the better car, based on the spec c it has uprated brakes (6 pot front/4 pot rear) and is about 80kg lighter than the S204.
It does depend on what your after though, the S204 is probably easier to live with on a day to day basis

RA-R is the better performance car but the S204 has to be the best ever impreza made as it has class and is confortable it's like an sti meets M3 and the handling is amazing gives you more confidence then the ra-r for some reason and it's a treat to live with on uk roads.

ps the RA-R has 2 pots on the rear and 6 on the front.

IIt depends on what you want your car for if your going to do quite a few trackdays then the RA-R is the one if your going to do a lot of daily drives and the odd trackday then the S204 is the one.

As said RA-R is the best track Impreza, the S204 is the best road Impreza thus far.

The RA-R tend to hold value a little better as there was only 300 produced compared to the 600 of the S204 ,but theres not that much in it.

If i had to choose i'd go for an S204 with the new litcho turbo 420bhp can't see much competeing with that on the road!!

RA-R is hardcore as it is a Spec C albeit the hardest one made! The S204 is a great car, well specced ... think of it as most like an Audi vs all the Impreza variants

I prefer cars to be track focussed so would ge for the RA-R which is arguably the best scoob ever made.

TX.

Edit - S204 has those seats though

S204 though a great car, is pretty much just a JDM Sti.

r-ar without a question i have a spec c and i think that is better spec'd for a track car than the s204 but one is track orientated the other is a road car just depends what you want it for

Have any of you lot driven either of these cars properly (I know juggers has extensively)?

I have and I have to say I was very impressed with the S204 against the RA-R.

Impreza S204 - perfecting a rare beast! - Detailing World

I've sat in it but as yet not been out, stunning bit of kit the seats suit a smaller man if you got big hips your never going to fit in them

I would personally go for the RA-R as I only ever drive the car at weekends, but as a daily driver it would have to be the S204.

Both are great cars and I would not be disappointed with either , mind you those Recaro seats in the S204 are fantastic but I am not sure I could fit into them.

Let's just say they are not for the fuller figure.

The S202 was the only one to be based on the Spec C so it will be better
(I would have any of the S series cars from the S202 onwards )

Is the S204 much heavier than a Spec-C and does it have any of the suspension mods that the Spec-c has?

Has all the same suspension mods, its just about 80kg heavier but quieter due to retaining the sound proofing.

Has anyone compared these back to back on the roads to feel the difference in the 'real world' - does the weight spoil the handling.

I've driven both back to back and would say the S204 is the better car for the roads. You can't tell it's 80kh heavier you would probally notice it on the track tho.

Thanks for the info, any private owners on here with experience of the S204, I'm looking for an insight on the plus points and any drawbacks..

Quick Reply: which is better, RA-R or S204?
