ks3 or knock link
Hi
Ive recently had my engine rebuilt and want to do as much as i can to protect it against dodgy maf sensors, fuel, detonation ect, i was thinking of buying a knock link then discovered the ks3, are both these worth the money? which one would be the best to go for? are they easy to fit as im not much good with wiring up these kind of things, also where is the cheapest i can buy either of these?
Thanks Tristan

KS3 is the one to go for and is what people are now using (myself included).
Knocklinks perform the same basic function, but the KS3s are far more advanced and upto date.
Straight forward to fit.

What I would do is not modify the engine and drive sensibly ... then there is no reason whatsoever for any tacky random light generator
Good to impress the teenagers down Maccies on Friday night mind you, so not entirely wasted

It's a good device but - when it gives an alert above the threshold you set, you have to re-set it before it will give any further warnings. This would be a bit inconvenient if you were on track, for instance. If you have a particularly noisy car you may miss the audible waning and it needs to be in your direct (or close to) eyline, to see the rather small LED
It also needs to be set up properly.
Although all that sounds rather critical, it is a step up on the rather more basic Knocklink

Thanks for the replys
I think i might go for one of the ks3's then, it does look the more upto date piece of kit, and anything that can save me the cost of another rebuild at the fraction of a cost has got to be a good buy.
Can anyone tell me exactly how the bosch sensor is fitted, ive looked on the website and it says either the inlet manifold or engine block, does it require drilling a hole???
Thanks Tristan
