Default im back, in a scooby.

you may remember my white type r that i sold last month, well after many many trips and hours on the computer looking for cars i finally bought this yeterday...

Subaru : Subaru Impreza Series Mcrae 555 UK Car

didnt pay anything near the asking price, and i always wanted a mcrae but could never find one.... i will get better pics when she's all clean.

p.s the second owner was a bloke called mark mcrae from falkirk, scotland.... and i have the logbook and handover record for the 15,000 he paid for it in 1999......

mileage not a problem mate, especially with full dealer history, and these engines are easy as anything to change, so doesnt worry me....

Well done! I'm looking to get back in the fold, but it's quite frustrating missing ones and filtering out the crap. Hope i don't rush into something i regret.

You say the engine is easy to change? How much for engine and labour roughly, as ones i've been looking at are high mileage and i've looked at a few "blown engine" projects.

don't worry about high mileage on scoobs, standard and mildly tuned ones can on go for 300,000 if looked after and yes i have seen a couple with this on. its only when you push them too much and not service them that they start to get funny.

So about £1k for an engine transplant then. So add that to the price of a "engine-blown" sale. Good to know. Thanks.
