ok since ive had my sti hawkeye "most" other scooby drivers either give the "nod" or a wave.
you know, like motorbikes do to each other.
is this "normal" or perhaps some imagination on my part

Normal.
As it is in "real" Mini's, Smart Cars, and probably plenty of other niche cars
I like it - gives me a warm fuzzy feeling and the desire to talk like Chumley Warner

You should respond as they are the only ones n the road that'll let you out of turns, roundabouts etc, also if ya broke down. They're just saying hello to a member of the clan.

Yeah couldn`t believe the amount of waves I get from other scooby owners its great. I owned four alfa romeo`s before the scoob and was on the AO forum and they all said about the Alfa Wave but was a load of ****, I never got a wave in 7 years. This really is a clan to be proud of. Nearly every imprezza drivers wave.

I was in the Clio Williams this morning, saw a scoob, wanted to wave but thought the guy would think I was a nutter.
Was in the scoob this afternoon, saw an 03 blue STI slowly making his way towards us through the roadwork traffic lights, did the bugger wave? like hell he did, normally they do, even if it's just a slight nod
Most do wave, to me (scooby owner since Oct last year) it's like ackowledging your in a secret club that has discovered the joys of driving a scooby.

Joke mode on/
In the early days having a Scoob meant you were a discerning performance car enthusiast, so a wave was cool.
Now it makes you a "chav".
Joke mode off/
The funniest "wave" I got was from another cool dude wear shades who quite simply raised his "pinky" off the wheel in the most subtle of gestures....
LOL

I actually had to check the date this thread was posted as I thought it must have been dug up from 5 years ago. I've not seen a scoob driver wave in years round here.
I think the fact that I probably see at least 3 every day indicates how common they are now compared to then.

I had my first scoob 6 years ago and everyone waved then. Seems about 90% still do. I tend to flash rather than wave though. Own a proper mini as well and everyone waves. I don't flash or wave at Bini drivers unless they do first. I'm not a fan of the new car, but guess it's just polite.
