Default Cutting out on right turns.

Hi, I'm having problems with my 96 uk turbo wagon cutting out on right hand corners. This has only just started happening. I understand it might be the hose in the tank that joins the two halfs togeather. Is there a valve in this hose that stops the petrol going to the near side of the tank when taking right turns? If so can I fix it or do I need a new tank?

It does it when I turn sharply and is worse when the tank is getting empty. Yes the car cuts out then when I'm straigtened up it comes back to life.

This was called fuel surge many years ago .... I think?

Do a search on here - some old posts may help.

Many owners just kept more than half a tank of fuel in the tank and had no issues.
