Default sigma alarm

I have a subaru sti 03 plate and tonite as I went to lock the car I pressed the button and nothing happened except the light flashing on the control. I went to try the other key fob and it did the same. i think its a sigma M20 but im not sure if you could help or point us in the right direction

there is a key pad on our window screen and i think its got something to do with it but we dont have a pin code for it ,,,, so as it stands out car is on the drive and cant move it

any help please

Is it locked or unlocked?

It is common for the Sigma alrm system to play up when radio interference upsets the signal when pressing the remote. Has this happened before?

On the off chance that the fob has unpaired with the alarm then it may need recoding to the cars' alarm system again.
To do this go on SIDC and there is a simple 'how to' on there.

If there is interference, then it may simply need pushing a short distance and the fob may work again????

I know this may sound daft - but, can you tow/roll it a few yards down the road and try it there?

This happened to me, Subaru Assistance were great .... they said push it across the Car park I was in - it worked fine then!!

It was shielded under warranty by Subaru - common fault, yours may have been missed.

Can you get hold of the previous owner? It is unforgivable that cars get sold without these codes - it should be made illegal.

Have you tried moving the vehicle and trying again ... or is that not an option?

I am being serious.

ok thanks guys for helping,,,,, had a long day and one too many sore heads,,,,, ok so i called the subaru dealer (not where i bought the car from) first thing and told us just to nip in and take the V5 document and photo id and he would issue us with the code for the alarm,, so we did.

Then got thought gave him our details and he went away to retreive out code only to return 10 mins later to inform us our car was not on the subaru system,, and took alook at out key fob and told us we proberly have a IMPORT (which we were never informed when buying the car) hense the reason its not been on there system so,,,,

went to the garrage that we bought our car from as demanded som answers only to be told really quickly that he would pick up our car take it to an elictrical mechanic and get it reprogramed THAT SOUNDED OK BUT

i called DVLA also becuse we have a WRX STI O3 PLATE only to realise we have a wrx uk300 on our dvla records so thought ok somethings up,,, and niped in to see a friend who did a hpi check on the car and he infomed me my car was A CATOGORY C INSURANCE WRIGHT OFF and had been writen off 4 months ago (while we have had it) ,,,, **** ****

well went back and kicked off **** at the garrage we bought it from and seaminly it was previous owner who had written off there bmw 4 months ago,,, and had flagged up a thing because that plate was on our car mmmmmm NOT CONVINCED cleared that up anyway ,,,, so he came out and took the car away and he said he would fix it but im still not sure why our dvla records are wrong and he says it is a import but not a gray import,,, so i had to leave it there xxxxxx

Obviously it had a Private Plate - that was transferred to the BMW, which was written off - but is showing at the DVLA as your Impreza!!

If you don't get that corrected you will have an unsaleable car on your hands ... no-one will touch it with a barge-pole!!

And, I hope you didn't pay UK money for an Import? If so, you have been duped .... sorry.
