Question Typical cost of fixing classic rusty rear arches?

Could anyone give me a rough idea of the cost of getting these fixed? Usual spot just above the rear bumper on a MY99 RB5. Recommendations for a body shop in Bedfordshire would be a bonus too :-)

It depends on how bad the rust is, I had my type R resprayed, rear quarters x2 inc arches, roof as was rust coming through near the front screen and boot lid as it was also duff, that set me back 700 quid, though I had that done through a friend of a friend and it was a very good job but im up north and not in bedfordshire

Got to get mine done, n/s only, when I get it back.

Been quoted £250 to cut out the rust, weld in a piece, clean up, respray the panel, and re-underseal.

North Midlands.

just done this on mine, the problem is the body panel bonder/sealer they fit between the inner arch and 1/4 panel when the shell is made, over the years the condension gets behind it and ends up rusting from the inside out,i ended up cutting a small area out just above the bumper where the 1/4 meets the outer wheel arch, was going to weld a plate in but decided to fill the hole with panel bond and then have it filled and sparyed at work,i then put/run a load of rust cure on the inside of the arch, then sprayed it with silver hammerite and then waxoil, that was about 4 months ago and it has'nt come back through YET!!!!!LOL
