Default window tinting?

anyone had their windows tinted by one of those film tinting places? and if so, any good?
I've been advised to avoid the mobile types due to dust ingress etc?

gt tints in halesowen birmingham are good theyve done my dads last two cars and he's never had a problem the only thing i will say is when you have it done keep to the rules given by the installer i'e dont open windows that are tinted for 48 hrs and never use any form of polish or glass cleaner that has immonia in it as it will peel the film off all i use is a damp leather wipe them down then clean and remove the water with tissue works every time

A few years ago, I had some window tint film put on a corsa. It's going back five years but it cost me about £150. They looked great when first done and I was really impressed with the results. But after a few months there were little bubbles appearing, which I eventually realised was dust behing the film. In the end I thought it looked terrible close up but fine from a distance. Although I am really picky.

But then again from the above "i'e dont open windows that are tinted for 48 hrs" advice, which I was never given by the installer so I suppose it could have been my own doing.

There are plenty of places doing them now so I would just shop around until you find one with a good reputation.

Tints on the front no way, mayb tints on the rear and as said avoid mobile unless you have a lock up or garage thats clean, saying that i have done my own b4 in the past and they have been really good. The rear window is a pain in the bum.
