Question Did anyone Test Drive the STi 330S before buying?

I'm interested, because I rarely see any as demos ... I would love to drive one - it may convince me to have the dog put down (as the dog doesn't fit) and buy one!!

Getting the dog put down is a little drastic and will inflame the dog lovers on here and this will tarnish you're exemplary reputation on snet.
Why don't you nail the dog to a skateboard and tow it behind the car, should be ok, just don't go over 100mph.

Pete, why not ring your local Subaru dealer & see if they have one to test drive?

I did tie the lead to the towbar to test her out, she kept up really well for about 12 miles but then started dragging her feet, so I had to let her back in the back ..... so, that's not much good.

I have a trailer - I could put her in there?

They don't even have a STi - just a WRX-s which I took out.

My local dealer is the same, they don't have any turbo'd impreza's to demo. I had to ring a few places within a 100 mile radius to find a dealer with a demonstrator.

I'd still buy the hawkeye though

Default 330S

My 08Sti was in for it's two year/20K service this morning, at Ian Grieve of Falkirk. They have one new WRXS and one new Sti330S, and that's it on the performance front. I had a good look around the 330S and was very impressed, really stunning looking - lots of goodies added to this one. Cost is £33150, but about 8 months too soon for me – want to get the holidays out the way before I change cars again.

I test drove Iain Litchfields Black Hatch when he first got it, before the uk had even had theres launched if it hadnt have been for me seeing it in the flesh and having a go in it i probably wouldnt have bought one on the strength of the brochures that were kicking about.

But i bought one and modded it and i'm very very happy with it

I thought they were £31,500?

Maybe that one had 'extras'?

It's a lot of money .... isn't it

Hi Mate,
The 330s is a nice car but if you are over 12stone the seats are not the best!!
To qoute an email from RECARO the seats in the 330 are a narrow fit! and if you weigh over 12 stone they would be to small??and there are right!!
if you are under 12 stone great if not take a 20 min test drive!!
I had to go for an STI and kit it out with ppp 330 wheels and just about every extra in the book.
