Some people will say leave the original one on. i had a Vent to atmosphere one fitted, but took it off after the ammount of frowns i used to get from people! Each to their own. If you want a nice sounding one that won't bring on the engine check light, go for a forge unit or hks unit.

Bailey ones are notorious for causing running problems, if thats any help. Usually you can find a good 2nd hand forge one on the for sale section. You want one for the NEWAGE intercooler.

Hi mate - i got a turbosmart supersonic a while back, fitted it myself (easy) - it runs fine as long as i have it on the softest setting! If you like the sound (which i do - saddo maybe but hey life's too short) then i would recommend, expensive but quality bit of kit. Funnily enough i was at Scoobyworld on Wednesday and was talking about BOV's with them - they are of the opinion that if the performance was badly effected by fitting BOV's, they wouldn't sell them... Laterz, Chris.

The same question could be said about exhaust:
Truth of the matter is subaru ,ford, and every other car manufacturer fit the parts that are for the average motorist, and are readily available & cheap .
You are correct in saying that a dv does not gain you any extra performance, but bore wash ,i am still waiting for someone to show me a post/thread where someone has had an engine build due to the fitting of a dv.
At the very worst i would expect a dv may lead to premature meltdown in the turbocharger area, but that is a long shot and i have no facts to back this up.
If you want a noise when you lift off the throttle buy one ,if you prefer to listen to the rumble of your exhaust or the chatter of your turbo,or the roar of your induction kit -- stick with your recirc valve.
if there was owt to be gained other than a daft noise, wouldn't Subaru/Prodrive etc fit them?

In what way does a different exhaust radically alter the induction?
