Just sold 05 uk sti, want JDM. Quick steerin Q.
Hi all,
I recently sold my 05 EUDM sti. Was mint and only had ~28000 miles on it.
As my only car it wasnt practical because of the mileage i do, so wanted to sell and get an older sti and a diseasel commuter.
However I've come across a few good value 03 JDM sti's which I'd rather to a 99-00 Type R etc.
Anyway, i drove the 03 JDM sti, and it felt like it tram lined a lot more than my 05 one. Is this down to the different steering rack?
Or possibly front tires, as they were well worn.
The clocks in the JDM are just so much nicer, even though they arent that different!

On my 03 jdm sti I find with the OEM RE070's the tramlining is very noticeable. My 18's however I do not notice it.
So in my opinion it is definately the tyres and not the steering rack.

Sounds like it has the RE070's on. They have really stiff sidewalls and so transmit every little bump through the steering wheel. When I put mine on I like that feeling as the car instantly feels more focused.
