Default When to change gears on a newage WRX

Got my wrx remapped after a backbox and decat, and I'd like to test out 0-60 on the car (on a private track of course).

At what revs should I change gears to get the optimum performance?

Is this where Jeremy Beadle jumps out?

There's no exact rev range (and you shouldn't be staring at the rev counter...) just catch it before it goes bounce bounce bounce off the rev limiter.

Some redlines can be moved (depending on where it was mapped) so maybe have a chat with whoever mapped you car first.

I normally run through this when mapping but launch it at around 5000 and then change at around 6500 on yours (assuming std turbo on there). That should give you a decent shot of getting the best time.

I have my shift light set to 6200, by the time I change gear that equates to about 6400-6500 rpm. PSI3 Monitor seems to agree as well.

Whoever remapped your car should have told you where peak power is?

Either way you should be able to "feel" the power tailing off
