This is going to be a really stupid question but why and at what point do you need to go for a rotated setup? What are the causes and needs to change it fromthe standard position?

Oh and by the way it looks tidy best of luck
A bolt on standard position turbo to make 500+ would cost around £1500 all in and this has set me back a lot less so cost was the biggest factor.
Later on If I decide I want more it is just case of swapping the turbo to allow me to do this and a remap.

Banny
so the benifit of going rotated is the turbo's are cheaper?
sorry for the questions as its a little of subject but i have never understood why people go rotated i just assumed is was the fact that you could only go so far on standard fit and if you wanted more you had to change the location
Location: will be back in another scooby in time....

that's going to be fun on the 2l it will be nothing nothing nothing then bang your gone, it's going to be a little slow to spool but once on boost it will be fun have u done any headwork Banny?
Mus when the 2.35 is done, it will have ported sti 3 heads, Jun 272 cams, Jun vernier pulleys, manley valves, Jun valve springs, supertech titanium retainers and seats. For the 2 litre will be just standard sti 3 heads.
It was nice of your grandma to allow you to set that up in her living room Thats gonna be noisy on boost with that screamer pipe. That flexi in the downpipe will bite you in the *** with leaks in time.
My current downpipe has a flexi and has been on for nearly 2 years and has not leaked, so hoping for similar with this too.
The screamer will be vented back in to the downpipe once its fitted, as it was too difficult to work out the position of the gearbox unless it was fitted.
Yes mate something like that, although a 22b rep does it for me just wish I had 20k to buy the real thing but it would be a shame to start messing with one I think it would take away the value of it so thought about building my own. I would like to start it off with the set up I have and almost reshell it but funds don't allow at the minute
