Default insurance advice please

just done one year with aplan and it cost me £890 but they have just sent my renewal and it is £1245. And this price increase isnt because i have had a bump or any claim at all. Bit of a p*ss take considering ime 32 with a clean licence and full no claims bonus. Last year somebody on here gave me the number for a guy called Glyn Michaels (I think) but when I rang he said he couldnt be competitive until I had owned the car for a year, now I have had the car for a year I could do with his number to try him again so if any of you know please could you let me have it. As I said above "I think" the name of this guy is Glyn Michaels please do not quote me on this....many thanks!

Andy

A Plan and Keith Michaels are as competetive as anywhere else I find.

Sometimes their quotes are cheaper than others however at times they are dearer than main stream company's.

Try them all.

Just gone through it again with Greenlight, 2 weeks ago they couldn't quote me
due to not owning a car over 150bhp for at least a year.
Complete foobar, owned a 180bhp car for 2 years, rang yesterday morning
to suspend my policy so that I could keep my no claims.
Explained and 5 mins later I got offered £595 fully comp on the UK Turbo 2000 with a sports exhaust!
The guys on here could only get to around £1000, got the car and accepted the renewal quote lol

Honestly now, if your 25 or over, 4 NCB or more and owned a 150bhp or more car for a year then give Greenlight a phone!!!

Hi, has your sti been modified? When I first had mine insurance was £480. I have 'like for like' policy with Keith Michaels and have no complaints about what I pay considering not many companys would quote because of mods.
