Cambelt change.
I have a wierd noise comming from my engine which almost sounds like a grinding noise or a dry bearing. I took the aux belts off and it still happens so my next thought is the cambelt. As it hasnt had one since Ive owned the car I have nothing to loose so am going to set about it.
Does anyone have a guide to doing one have watched a vid on youtube but would like to get as much info as I can before starting it. Does the crank pulley take much getting off and what about the idlers are they prone for siezing.
Cheers peeps.

I am going to do mine this year.
What I can find on the Internet, and on here, it seems pretty straightforward .... certainly easier than most other cars I have done (or so it appears) - I think the biggest question will be whether or not you replace the tensioner .... it's an expensive item, so a test in a vice will be my decision maker.

Halfway down on right hand side ..... it's news to me as well - I don't know what the Slash Adjusters have to do with a CamBelt change? But, it is a CAUTION and in BOLD - so, I need to know what it is ......

Hopefully it is just an aspect of the SOHC Engine?
Edit:- just thought, the DOHC has solid - not hydraulic adjusters (I think!?)
