Default ive got a new noise??

ive noticed today i have a new noise ????
usally i can hear the whistle of the turbo but today i herd the whistle and a kind of hissing at the same time and both noises stop at the same time aswell is this a bad thing am i hearing things lol....any ideas??`ive got the orignal b/o/valve on it as well incase any one says that..defo wasnt doing the noise before??

Is your aircon coming on. Mine does this but hasn't been gassed in the 4 years I have had it because I don't use it and it sounds like something leaking air.

i no its hard to giv a answer without hearing it...i will take to someone today...cheers jon for the reply i will check its more of a woosing sound quite violent when the turbo cuts in??

Could be a split hose, or just the airbox lid not fitted properly. It could be so many things it's difficult to second guess. Could possibly be the DV stuck. Does it still drive/boost as normal or has the performance suffered?

If it's when the turbo cuts in I would suspect that it is not the aircon.

everything the same boost perfect...funny you say the airbox i just checked what panel filter was in there and i had troulble putting the clips back on... ummm?. i will doulble check my dodgy work lol this is why i dont touch engines look i only touched the airbox and look whats happened lololol

i just checked jon and yes you were right i didnt put the box back on properly at the bottom there is 2 lugs which slot in which i didnt see thanks mate i had pound notes flashing in front of me

Also if you fitted the aftermarket panel filter don't forget to trim the side nips so it fits flush.
