well we sold the scoob yesterday, now we have decided to look at a wagon, cant stay away from these cars lol we have found one but the guy said it wont select 1st gear but the rest are fine and he has been told it a gear lever spring. I have seen another advertised with this, does the box need to come out to be done? or does it mean the box is collapsing, i have had 2 boxes go on me and both times started with 3rd, the cars is cheap enough to change box but only if changing spring would mean stripping the old box to repair, thanks.

A wee spring dropped off my gear linkage before christmas an the gear stick wobbles1
Still selects gears fine and smoothly.
Theres been a few posts about this that have listed the part number an whats involved.
Ive not done it yet coz im lazy!
