STI ENGINE?

I have a N REG TURBO ENGINE. I know of a STI engine for sale of a WRX STI engine. Wondered if i fit it what's the difference???

You will need the ECU and an uprated clutch. Not sure if you need the wiring loom too.

much faster? what is exactly changed??? compared to mine as it's got a lot more BHP!

Specifications for the STi models can include blueprinted engines, with different pistons and crankshaft, closed deck blocks, uprated close ratio gearbox, uprated suspension (i.e. hard!) and brakes, as well as nice toys such as water spray cooling for the intercooler, and driver adjustable differentials. STi engines rev to a 8250 rpm red line whilst the normal Japanese spec WRX's red line at 7500 rpm.

The higher rev engines are the STi3 onwards. They have solid lifters.

BHP is 276hp on Jap fuel.

How much have you been quoted? Miles, etc... Just curious as I may be in the market for another STi engine too.

And STi's have uprated engine mounts AFAIK.

(To handle the extra torque).
