Most of the popular brands of panel filtration are fine but I went for K&N

Well I'm only changing exhaust to a straight through and different backbox with sports cat downpipe to get it louder and produce a tiny amount more bhp and then getting it mapped so wanted to change filter to get the best results.

well in that case maybe a k+n 57i would be more suited. thought you were just changing the panel filter and keeping car standard (for the time being lol)

I have the Green filter in my 06 STI.

To be really honest they do so little that as long as you don't get a really cheap brand you will be fine.

I flipped a coil between Green and K&N and I don't think I would have noticed the difference with either :P

If you are not aiming for anything over 400bhp then keep the std air box and fit any of the suggest panel Filters and you will be perfectly fine, induction kits really are not required before 400bhp unless you have a FMIC!
