took my car to have new gaskets fitted to the headers which are the 3 bolt type on my JDM twin scroll turbo 2003 V limited blob eye, but prior to fitting he said i needed a new up pipe gasket also,. so no point in fitting the header gaskets and may as well fit them all in one go. i was told to buy a jdm up pipe gasket and i dont even know what shape it is as there are loads on ebay all different shapes where else can i buy one from and is there any other gaskets that i should replace route of course cheers any pics of the gasket would be a help

I have got this one in my watch list on ebay but still confused as it says turbine in and out gasket, and i was told i need an up pipe gasket it is blowing at the front of the headers in beetween the headers to the up pipe and its even blowing at the headers,. i had it dynod and it only gave 276bhp for a twin scroll was a bit down on power,.eventually going to gpo full decat route but these twin scrolls are hard work i cant find a full decat either lol

Type vf37 into ebay thats the turbo on 03 onwards Jdm Sti and you will see loads of twin up pipe gasket's for sale and same for the down pipe .Hayward and scott,rcm,milltek do twin scroll exhaust systems

Pics with instructions on exactly where in the system it goes cheers Don Clark i can order away now,. would you advise changing all the gaskets right through the system or just replace the ones that are blowing cheers

My turbo is a vf42 and these gaskets are for vf37 is there any difference cheers

Same fitment .Have you fitted the vf42 or did the previous owner .Its not standard on the Jdm Sti its like i mention above vf37 .The vf42 is a bigger version twin scroll turbo found on the s204

My car is a STI 2003 V- Limited and when i got the spec sheet it said vf42 i am presuming it is standard with it being a limited edition or it may have been changed,. i will have to check what my car comes with now as standard as i cant see that it would have been changed its very low mileage and never been messed with really.
if its the same i will just order the gaskets and get the turbo checked at the same time. Cheers

The Vf37 thrust bearing twin scroll is standard on 03 onwards Jdm Sti's spec c has Vf36 twin scroll roller bearing from 03 onwards .Look on your inlet housing of the turbo and you will see Vf37 in electric pencil and it not that easy reading
