do all close decks all have red tops?
i am getting a type ra sti engine soon and its not a redtop...its from a n reg 1996 and wondered if every sti closed deck was red top?

No, my 1993 Type RA has a closed deck block and its not even an sti

they are both the same, but have the exstra sorport round the water jackets.
aboth, closed decks are heched. much like the heads
as aboth to, not all the models had closed deck blocks. 95/96 were the last. so some of the early sti v2 had them, some of the type rs did to.
96, just have a check for the heching aound the block where the head bolts.

yes it has the hatchings around oil filter and block...its from a blue 96 n reg sti v limited but no redtop + would it have oil squirters?
