which grade gear oil
hi i had the oil changed in my gearbox as the downchange was getting stiff especially first, i was told it was probably old oil ,short runs and the cold weather. the garage used 75/90 oil but it now seems worse ,someone told me not all boxs like the same gradeifso what do peaple find works best in theirs . its a 98 wrx wagon cheersj

it states 75/90 for my04 wrx...... Dont hold me to what im going to say but im sure i read somewhere that some boxes prefer semi synth to fully synth oil... one or the other caused problems if the box didnt have it in before... again thats not gospel i may have just misread something

The only/best oil to use in a wrx gearbox is Castrol Syntrax,same grade but far superior oil.
