Default snow/ice and bad drivers. (had a close call)

yesterday night i was on a country lane doing a sencible speed 4x4 truck comes round the bend in front way to fast sees me and desides lest slam on the ancors so sideways truck coming at my pride and joy. thinking ***k, i litle side pass spot on the left looks like a good idea to go there out of the way its on my side (right of way and all that) but no the novice female desides that she needed to go on the same courseon my side of the narrow lane. i stoped breaking and went on the power, did its job and got me out of the way and up the verge on the side, very impresed with that nice for it to get me out of trouble for a change

V close 1 wish people wud realise just because you have a tonka truck dosent mean it will stop any better!
she nearly wrote me off! at least i didnt meet her on the hill id just come up

any one else had close calls?

all safe and scoob is 100%

Glad it was no more than a near miss, some folk seem to need a close call before they realise driving style should match conditions.

It does give you a sense of confidence in your own vehicle / driving abilities when you can take evasive action to avoid those plonkers tho

Similar thing here.

Lad in Nova comes over icy brow in country lane and sees me. I stop in the bottom of the dip, he's going too fast and decides to brake

His rear brakes away and I enter the space time vortex

Miraculously, he lifts off, corrects and sails past with inches to spare

Palpatations didn't stop 'till after I got home.

He would have written my classic off, despite my recent engine gearbox and clutch rebuild and God knows what else. Two days before Xmas this was

The 4x4 brigade seem to be the worst. Have had two overtake me this winter as I slow for roundabouts (learnt not to brake in the snow) just to see them sail straight over said roundabouts with all four wheels locked, muppets.

Aye, the sooner these muppets crash into a tree, the better.

2ton of 4x4 + "I'm in a invincible 4x4/offroader" mentality = mobilised murder weapon.
