My last WRX classic running 320 used to do 220 to a tank and my Uk Turbo dosn't fare much better! Maybge 250? I just put £20 in now and get about 120 miles! Get it remapped and you'll see a lot of difference in normal driving.

22mpg on a MY97 UK classic. I balance the cost against the lack of depreciation.
Wifes car cost £3000 31/2 years ago.
My car cost £2600 3 years ago, both worth about £1500 each now.
Sold a 53 plate WRX 2 years ago for £7000, probably now worth £3500.
A friend of mine paid £8000 for a Clio 182 less than 6 months ago, and is already looking at £3000 depreciation.
Either way I think that the extra fuel I have used over the last 3 years balances against the depreciation of the sensible cars I should have bought
Now, how do I justify the cost of 2 engines, 2 gearboxes and all the mods on the two cars?

No there is a fair bit of difference, with 208bhp v 276 the 276bhp car will be thirstier.
For example, I bought my first scoob back in 2000 (around the time of the petrol strikes) and did the journey (just after running in) from manchester to winchester and back on just over a tank full yes that equates to about 34-35mpg, similary I did the run down in my old spec c and used most of a tank before I got there and had to fill up
There was about 100bhp difference between the cars and 7-10mpg.
Oh and 10ltrs less fuel tank note that early classic cars came with a 50ltr tank, later with a 60ltr tank.
