Default Ive been visiting dealers for a wagon......

Hi Everyone

I went to visit my local subaru dealer the other day on the hunt for a 2004 - 2006 WRX wagon for about £10k.

He seems to think thats doable and is going to contact me again in the new year as he didnt have anything in.

Is there anything i should know when looking at these?

Also does anyone have a pic of a subaru wagon roughly this age in blue with WR1 alloys as thats what ive got in my head as my perfect subaru at the moment. Would love a saloon but the dog has other ideas and im fed up of it messing the front of my current car up lol.

thanks and merry christmas.

Tim

just a wee bit of info. the "wr1 alloys" are actually prodrive pff's (or something very close to that cant remember exactly what) you can either buy then second hand or buy redline invoit(again spelling not the best) alloys. so i wouldnt worry to much if you find a good wagon that doesnt have those alloys.

As above, they are the Pff7's IIRC mate, just expensive to buy new. The Inovit replica's are much cheaper but you get what you pay for.

Why not look to buy privately, will be cheaper than some greasy desperate salesman IMHO. Plenty of cars out there, just take someone knowledgeable with you to look around (just 'cos a car's at a dealers doesn;t mean it may not be a plum like a private for sale car).

Good luck and get some pics up when you do get one. Welcome to the fold

A WRX wagon of that age and budget is easily do-able.

For example, how about '56 for £8500 with 59k:
Swancar Of Loughborough : SUBARU IMPREZA 2.5 WRX 5DR

The reason im going to a dealer is because i will be buying part of the car on hp.

cheers Gaz.

Is there much difference in the 2.5 compared to the 2.0? Ive never seen one of the newer style ones up close.

thanks

maybe be cheaper getting a loan off the bank. private h.p companys charge a fortune in interest rates.

Loan would defo be the way I'd go, probably better deal than Hp, its not tied to the car and you can save more money by buying privately, cheaper all round!

These look nice and are Hawks aswell with the 2.5, if early 2006 may have the lower road tax also:

ALEXANDERS PRESTIGE : SUBARU IMPREZA WRX FULL SUBARU SERVICE HISTORY 1 OWNER
Subaru : Subaru Impreza 2.5 WRX SL Wagon GB270 *PRICE DROP*

good luck

That's about 13% APR!!

When Base Rates are 0.5%?

Get a loan at 7% APR!

And £10k is plenty for what you are looking for .... you can afford the very best .... buy private is my advice.
