Default Thermostat direction?

Just a quick question, does the thermostat sit in the housing with the jiggle pin towards the front of the car?

cheers

It will only sit in the aperture properly one way around and one way up.

the main body of the thermostat sits in the engine side from memory.

It only goes in one way but will seat with the jiggle pin facing front or rear.
