Default o2 sensor remover

Hi, does anyone have one of these 22mm sockets that fits over the wires, near Cambridge? I don't have anything I can get into the small gap around the heat shield. Or if you have another suggestion for how to remove it that would also be welcomed.

Combination spanner does it for me. Between the open end and the ring spanner (and turning the ring spanner upside down) there's more than enough to get the sensor loose.

Is this the one in the downpipe [classic]?

If so this often shears the thread and knackers both threads in the sensor and downpipe.

If your sensor is welded into place by years of never having been removed even the large 22mm sockets with the slit down the side won't get it off.

I bought one from Snap-On, cost nearly £40 just for the socket. If your sensor is too tight then the socket will just open up and slip around the sensor hexagon like this one does and you'll end up either using a large open ended spanner, adjustable spanner or large heavy duty mole grips.

Its a newage car?
The sensor connector will slip through a 22mm ring spanner OK, it just needs disconnecting and the spark plug bracket removed.
