Default Subaru's new plane flies for the first time

Well, it's Mitsubishi's new plane too. MHI makes the wings, while Fuji Heavy Industries makes the centre wing box.

So if they start crashing, I guess Boeing can blame it all on someone else!

Au contraire. We were building and tuning this one ten years ago.
Scooby engine using a carb. We set it up by tying it to a post and running the motor flat out against a fixed pitch on the prop. Great fun, very noisy.
Health and Safety? phooey...

The other people we shared the estate with at the time used to hide indoors every time we did this, no idea why.
