Picked up WRX today.
**** me. Now I am use to a ford engined Jag, first fast car I have driven/owned, it might be a standard 2.5 WRX but it feels like lightening to me. Roll on the remap in January. Steering is unbelievable compared to the Jag, you don't realises how fast you are going till you glance down. Only gripes so far is the sound system is absolutely appalling, how they can sell a car in 2007 with a (using the words loosely) sound system that bad I don't know, will be making a new thread on single din replacement panels soon. The brakes are good but not as responsive as I thought they would be, seem to be better on my dads old Ibiza Cupra R, though the car has covered 10900 miles and I have a feeling they could be the original pads. And I am missing the arm rest, keep putting my arm down to nothing. Looking forward to seeing you all at future meets.

I've got a classic JDM WRX and it's definately my favourite car so far.....drove a VW VR6 before so I'm certainly enjoying the benefits of 4WD and a turbo .
Glad your enjoying your Subaru Andy, Gareth

Enjoy it!, If you think it feels quick now, wait till the remap!. You can always upgrade the brakes, but if you go for brembo's, you'll have to upgrade the wheels as the wrx wheels wont fit over brembos. Then with larger wheels, it'll want lowering. While your doing that, may aswell fit an ARB, then you could............................................. ........ Welcome to scooby ownership!. By the way, on a serious note, subaru do sell an extension for the storage box in the centre console, which raises the height of it to give you an armrest.

Nice car and welcome to the wallet emptying thing that is the Impreza.
I'd get your brakes uprated before you remap. ARB and droplinks are other cheap mods worth considering before remap too.
