try to use search - lots of post on that subject.
In short - yes, many people doing so - however might be a bit tricky to fit.

just don't remember about phase 1 cars - those might be a problem due to very little space for tmic there.

Yes it will make a difference as you get more air, bigger cooling surface so better for the turbo.

First you may want to fit a bigger/better turbo, fuel pump and air filter to get the best benefits, second, a remap and third you will need to modify the undertray so you have the most air going to the whole surface of the TMIC.

As Blue Dragoon says above, yes it will make a difference but DO NOT put on a classic sti intercooler, there is no difference in them as regards performance to the standard coolers, its the intercooler piping that is the restricting factor in classics, not the coolers.Go for the sti 8 version cooler which is a very worth while upgrade and the best option if not fitting a front mount setup.

The V5 Type R IC's are better than standard as they have the solid Y-Pipes and it will drop straight in. But go for the STI 8 IC and your quids in

I just did not fancy chopping down the resevoir

i had to remould the clutch support bracket area thats under the TMIC as it would hit/knock

its well worth doing
