Default 02STI Vs Prodrive 02STI Vs 03STI - Mechanical differences?

Is there any mechanical differences between the above 3 versions?

Out of the above 3 I actually prefer the Prodrive STIs but with a £1-2K difference over an 2STI, is it just down to a different front bumper?

And then, is the difference between an 03STI and an 02STI no more than nose change?

Not fussed on interior gubbins.

No mechanical difference at all> The prodrive version has as youve mentioned a different bodykit<head lights etc> Looksmuch better in my opinion.

03 different front and back but basically the same car updated> cant remember if the interior is different

There are some slight differences.

03 car has slightly different flywheel, variable durty alternator, larger port heads, slightly different pistons, extra cap on radiator and a few more minor things I'm sure.

02 STi Prodrive to 02STi

No mechanical or Preformance Mods just costmetic changes (athough loads had PPP done after
1) Front Barge board Bumper
2) Blue Dash dails (STi Black)
3) New Side Skirts
4) Something else but forgot!!

Prodrive version much better looking than a STD 03STi Blobeye In my biased Opinion

Some other diferences 02Sti to 03STi but as said by Pavlo no major differences

1) Great big beaked bonnet scoop [flame suit on] worse design feature than the 02STi Bugeye lights [/flame suit off] LOL
2) Different rear lights and rear bumper (moulded cutout for lights)
3) Different size rear strut Top mount

Tony

02sti prodrive edition is very nice car, bumper looks a million times better, shame they didn't offer something similar for the 03 car.

Prodrive model came with a high level spoiler, IIRC the STI made do with a WRX item, most added one anyway, as you would.

03 STI had front geometry altered to improve "feel".

I got a (rare ?) Prodrive spot light conversion for mine from W88chy on here !

I kept mine nearly as supplied. What front mount is that your running Dunx as yours looks good> Ive not been tempted coz didnt want to cut to much away from the bumper> Mt top mount is about at its limit

They look just as nice in either colour.

Couple of things - can you get the prodrive bumper to put on a non prodrive version?

Some have PPP and some don't, is there much point buying one with PPP if I either ECUTEK the OE ECU or replace altogether.

What turbo do these have - is it a VF35?

Bolts straight on...

PPP is worthless as the warranty is long gone, and you may as well have 330 bhp.

VF 35 is correct.
