Power drop at gear change above 5000rpms?
I have recently aquired a MY04 WRX wagon. I seem to have a problem when changing gear at high(ish) revs. Engine runs smooth up to the change and then there appears to be a 'stutter' or hold-back (if there is such a term!) before engaging the higher gear. I'm quite prepared to accept that it may be down to my crap gear changing but I'd love someone to tell me it aint and, furthermore - how to stop it happening! cheers

Thanks 4 that. It doesn't happen eveytime and rarely at low revs (that's probably down to me being lazy). Have just been out to do a few hill starts to check the clutch and everything appears to be OK. It really is annoying as it's making the driving experience a very 'choppy' and uncomfortable one!
