No they aren't useless its probably the wiring at fault. How have you put the wires through the bulkhead?
Some people have had boost sender problems but most are because they have been to close to the Turbo or mounted on something ridged and the shock has damaged it.
I wouldn't ignore the oil pressure gauge reading low get it checked out or it will go bang if the gauge is right

i have said before those eletric boost gauges are ****.........
mechanical ones run on vac thats what all top spec gauges do!!!!
as for oil pressure it must be a dodgy wire or bad sender!
un-wire it and check conections......

the problem i had with my greddy gauges was condensation in the faces , was told it was beacause they were vacumn hoses getting hot then cold then hot caused the gauge to get a bit of water in from the condensation

on topic though i've not had a problem with the prosport gauges apart from the oil pressure cable that plugs into the bag of gauge the wire has broke from the plug ( if i can get a new 1 pls let me know)

How troublesome are they. Is it because its electronic. Guess you have to get wiring spot on. Has anyone else had major trouble with these gauges. Because I don't want to spend a lot of money if its going to give me trouble
