hi ive just bought a late uk turbo 2000 with some mods on it also ive found in my shed my old sti v4 ecu off my 98 sti can i plug that in my uk turbo 2000

No. Assuming your new car is a 99 or 00 your 98MY ECU won't physically connect, and even if it did, it wouldn't get you anywhere good. Your STi4 ECU is tuned for an STi4 engine and turbo, it simply wouldn't run a UK specification car properly, even if you got it to work.
