Apologies if this comes across as a silly question but I'm relatively new to the Impreza.

I recently bought a standard 06 Hawkeye WRX and wondered if the exhausts (it's primarily the back box I'm interested in at the moment) from the earlier newage cars will fit?

Can anyone advise please?

yes it will, all 2001 (newage) upto 2006 backboxes are compatable not too sure about later models

No difference from the cat back, although on the STi the Jap style back boxes can conflict with the rear diffuser, not the case for the WRX. Cat to turbo is the same length but the cat pipe is longer and the down pipe is shorter in MY06+ cars. Swapped together they are compatible in single parts they are not.
