Default help needed about ecu please

hiya i have a my99 turbo and was just wondering if i put a rb5 ecu on it, would it make a difference compared to a standard turbo 2000 one cheers

In a word... no. RB5 (unless a WRsport or Prodrive version yadda yadda), was basically a limited run of a Turbo 2000 in a different colour with different wheels, couple plaques etc.

I'm 99% sure they had the same ECU as a MY99 car

As C O'B says, a standard RB5 has a standard MY99 AE801 ECU, while the PPP has the regular MY99-00 PPP one in it. There is no point at all paying a premium for an "RB5 ECU", and no, unless it's a PPP, you will see no measurable difference.

Why not think about getting yours Ecuteked. Done properly you will be surprised by the power gains.
