Default Santa / Lapland type breaks... anyone with any experience?

Its the wifes 40th on Christmas eve so thought we might take that trip to LapLand, with the kids, to see if we can find Santa.

Has anyone been on one of these 'adventures'? Looking for some recommendations, as the prices quoted by some of the tour operators are somewhat extreme for what they appear to offer.

We did this trip four years ago and it was worth every penny

Did snow mobile rides, dog sledging over a frozen lake wi a full moon lighting the way, reindeer sledge riding.

Going to see Santa's house was ace! Frankie was onlt 4 1/2 then so it was REALLY magical for her

Temperature was about -10 in the day and lowest at night was -27.

It is an expensive holiday but it is also one full of memories

We did the same as pete 6 years ago, great dry snow, all the usual scandanavian delight, northern lights, log fires. Cost a fortune for 4 days, worth it. You're leaving it late to book though, these are very popular short breaks, good luck

I think I'd love to take my little one over maybe next year (2 1/2) or the year after (3 1/2)
